Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is finally calling it quits after 22 seasons with the NFL and days of denials, but the athlete’s multiple business ventures – including an eponymous clothing line launched this month – are likely to keep his wealth growing.
Brady, 44, announced his retirement in a message posted across his social media platforms on Tuesday, just a day after he said he was still weighing his options.
‘I have always believed the sport of football is an »all-in» proposition – if a 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about our game,’ Brady wrote.
‘The future is exciting. I’m fortunate to have cofounded incredible companies like @autograph.io @bradybrand @tb12sports that I am excited to continue to help build and grow, but exactly what my days will look like will be a work-in-progress,» Brady added.
In 2013, the seven-time Super Bowl winner launched wellness company TB12, which sells protein powder, snack packs and exercise equipment. Last year, he co-founded the NFT platform Autograph, which focuses on sports and media-related non-fungible tokens.
On January 12, his apparel line Brady Brand, or BRADY, went live online.
The ventures may help his $200 million net worth inch closer to that of his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, who’s worth a reported $400 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com.

Trading on his legendary status as one of the most decorated football players of all time, Brady co-founded TB12 Sports with longtime body coach Alex Batallador in 2013, according to an interview with Batallador on ONE37pm.
‘TB12 is really a holistic approach to optimize pain management, performance, and recovery, with a focus on nutrition, hydration, and movement – and it can be applied to anyone,’ Batallador said.
The website sells everything from private consultations with a ‘Body Coach’ to $90 boxes with protein bars and ‘electrolyte packets.’
Early last year, the quarterback co-founded the NFT trading platform Autograph, according to Bloomberg.
Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are pieces of authentic digital media – photographs, GIFs, etc. – that can be bought and sold.
Autograph’s website describes the company as ‘an NFT platform that brings together the most iconic brands and legendary names in sports, entertainment and culture to create unique digital collections and experiences.’

Tennis player Naomi Osaka and golfer Tiger Woods have signed ‘multi-year, exclusive NFT deals’ with Autograph, the company last year
In July, the company announced a partnership with Lionsgate and digital sports entertainment company DraftKings, along with ‘multi-year, exclusive NFT deals with an all-star roster of iconic athletes including Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky, Derek Jeter, Naomi Osaka and Tony Hawk.’
And earlier this month, Brady launched his apparel line Brady Brand, or BRADY.
The clothing line’s website currently features $150 jackets and $75 gym shorts.
The line’s first run included $295 bomber jackets, a $250 vest, $95 hoodies and polos going for $120, according to Sports Illustrated.
A number of popular college athletes have signed on to represent the nascent brand, after changes in NCAA rules allowed the student athletes to profit off endorsements.

Among those who have signed on are Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara and Georgia wide receiver George Pickens, Fox Business reports.
Others include Jackson State quarterback Shedeur Sanders and college tennis players Patrick Zahraj of UCLA and Andrew Fenty of the University of Michigan.
On Tuesday, Brady delved into his reasons for leaving the NFL after more than two decades.
‘There is a physical, mental, and emotional challenge EVERY single day that has allowed me to maximize my highest potential. And I have tried my very best these past 22 years. There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life.
‘This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention,’ he wrote.
Brady thanked his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen and his children, saying they are his ‘inspiration’ and ‘greatest achievement.’
Curiously absent from Brady’s farewell statement was any mention of the New England Patriots, the club he guided to six Super Bowl titles over 20 seasons before leaving for Tampa in March of 2020.
However, Patriots owner Robert Kraft did release a statement of his own, saying it was a ‘privilege’ to watch him, and Brady responded on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon: ‘Thank You Patriots Nation. I’m beyond grateful. Love you all.’
The 44-year-old signed a one-year, $25 million contract extension after guiding the Bucs to a Super Bowl win last year. That deal included a $20 million signing bonus, $15 million of which would have been paid to him on Friday. So by retiring, Brady likely saved the Bucs $15 million, although they can choose to pay out his full signing bonus.
Since being drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, Brady has earned more than $292 million in salary over 22 seasons, according to Spotrac. And that does not include earnings from his fitness brand or his many endorsement deals with companies such as Subway and Under Armour, not to mention his recent foray into non-fungible tokens.
Brady and the Bucs’ season came to an end in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs last month, when they were beaten in Tampa on a last-second field goal by the Los Angeles Rams. The team’s current backup is the uncelebrated 32-year-old Blaine Gabbert, so the Bucs are expected to add more potential replacements, either through free agency or in the NFL draft.
The betting favorite to replace Brady is his former backup, current 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, according to SportsBetting.ag.

Tom Brady announced his retirement on Instagram following weeks of speculation

Although he neglected to thank the Patriots or their fans in his retirement statement, Brady did mention them on Twitter
‘Congratulations to my friend Tom on an unbelievable football career,’ friend and former rival Peyton Manning wrote in a statement. ‘To do it as long as he did, at the highest of levels is absolutely incredible. It was an honor & a privilege to compete against him on the field, and I truly appreciate his friendship off the field.
‘I have always admired & respected his competitiveness, his dedication, his discipline, and his commitment to being the best. I wish him the best in his next chapter. Congratulations again, pal!’
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also released a statement.
‘Tom Brady will be remembered as one of the greatest to ever play in the NFL,’ said Goodell, who merienda suspended Brady for four games in 2016 for his alleged involvement in the ‘Deflategate’ scandal.
‘An incredible competitor and leader, his stellar career is remarkable for its longevity but also for the sustained excellence he displayed year after year.
‘Tom made everyone around him better and always seemed to rise to the occasion in the biggest moments. His record five Super Bowl MVP awards and seven Super Bowl championships set a standard that players will chase for years.
‘He inspired fans in New England, Tampa and around the world with one of the greatest careers in NFL history. It has been a privilege to watch him compete and have him in the NFL. We thank him for his many contributions to our game and wish Tom and his family all the best in the future.
Brady thanked the Buccaneers organization, his teammates, ownership, universal manager Jason Licht, coach Bruce Arians, his trainer and business partner Alex Batallador, agents Don Yee and Steve Dubin and his family in his nine-page post. He didn’t mention the New England Patriots, where he spent his first 20 seasons and won six Super Bowls. Of course, Brady thanked the Patriots and coach Bill Belichick after he left the team to sign with the Buccaneers in March 2020.
‘To the Glazer family, thank you for taking a chance on me and supporting me,’ Brady said of the Bucs´ owners. ‘I know I was demanding at times, but you provided everything we needed to win, and your ownership was everything a player could ask for.’
Brady said he’s still figuring out how he’ll spend his time but he plans to be involved in his TB12 health and wellness company, Brady clothing line and NFT company.
‘Tom joined us as the greatest football player of all time, and he quickly showed everyone in our organization what that meant,’ Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said in a statement.
‘He set a standard and helped create a culture that took our team to the mountaintop. It has been an honor to be his head coach for the past two seasons.’

The retirement decision appears to be a victory for Bundchen, who has expressed concerns for his safety over the years. She merienda enlisted Brady’s old college teammate, Jay Feely, to convince her husband to retire, the former NFL kicker told Sports Illustrated in 2018.
Bundchen has also claimed that her husband suffered unreported concussions during his tenure with the Patriots, although those accusations remain unproven, publicly.
ESPN first reported Brady’s retirement on Saturday, citing unidentified sources. Brady’s health and wellness company posted a tweet indicating he’s retiring, and reaction came from around the world congratulating Brady on his career. Even the NFL’s Twitter account posted a series of congratulatory messages.
TB12sports quickly deleted its tweet, but ESPN and NFL Network continued reporting that Brady has played his last game.
‘We’re in such an era of information and people want to be in front of the news often, and I totally understand that and understand that’s the environment we’re in,’ Brady said. ‘But I think for me, it’s literally day to day with me. I’m trying to do the best I can every day and evaluate things as they come, and I’m trying to make a great decision for me and my family.’
Brady said he was disappointed that coverage of his possible retirement overshadowed the NFL’s conference championship games over the weekend.
‘I’ll know when the time’s right,’ he said. ‘When I know, I’ll know and when I don’t know, I don’t know, and I’m not going to race to some conclusion about that.’
Brady walks away as the NFL’s career leader in numerous passing categories and most prolific winner. He’d also be going out at the top of his game.
Brady led the NFL in yards passing (5,316), touchdowns (43), completions (485) and attempts (719), but the Buccaneers lost at home to the NFC champion Rams last Sunday in the divisional round after rallying from a 27-3 deficit to tie it in the final minute.
Brady won six Super Bowls with the Patriots playing for coach Bill Belichick, and got better with age. He led the Buccaneers to their second Super Bowl title last year in his first season in Tampa.
Overlooked by every team coming out of Michigan, Brady was eventually selected by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft.
Brady’s legend began in his second season, when he replaced injured starter Drew Bledsoe during a game against the rival New York Jets. The Patriots ended up losing that game, but Brady never looked back, guiding New England to an 11-4 record over the remainder of the season, winning the infamous ‘tuck rule’ game against the Oakland Raiders in the playoffs, and upsetting the heavily favored St. Louis Rams in the Super Bowl.
Brady went on to lead the Patriots to consecutive Super Bowl titles following the 2003-04 seasons. No team has since repeated as champions.
But New England wouldn’t win another one for a decade, twice losing to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl, including a 17-14 defeat on February 3, 2008, that prevented the Patriots from completing a perfect season.
Brady, though, was far from finished.
He earned his fourth ring after the 2014 season thanks to cornerback Malcolm Butler’s late interception on Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson in Super Bowl XLIX. Brady was named MVP of the game, but gave the truck he won as part of the honor to Butler.
Two years later, in the biggest Super Bowl comeback, he led the Patriots out of a 28-3 deficit in the third quarter against Atlanta to win in overtime for No. 5. Brady got his sixth championship when New England beat the Rams following the 2018 season.
He joined the Buccaneers in 2020 amid a pandemic, instantly transforming a franchise that hadn’t won a playoff game in 18 years. His buddy Rob Gronkowski came out of retirement to join him and they helped the Buccaneers become the first team to play in a Super Bowl in its stadium.
Now it’s anyone’s guess if Gronkowski will return to Tampa next season, but he recently revealed he would decline if he were pressured to reach a final decision right now.
Brady reached the playoffs 19 times, won 18 division titles, went 10-4 in conference championships and 7-3 in Super Bowls.
After starting his first game on September 30, 2001, Brady was under center for every game except when he suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 1 in 2008 and the first four games in 2016 when he sat out a suspension because of the deflated footballs scandal.
The team was fined $1 million and docked a first-round draft pick for the incident.
However, academics have insisted that the NFL failed to prove its case against Brady, who may have actually been exonerated by the league’s data.
‘I am convinced that there was no illegal deflation of the Patriots’ footballs at the 2015 AFC Championship Game,’ MIT mechanical engineering professor and Philadelphia Eagles fan Dr. John L. Leonard wrote in for Sports Illustrated in 2016.
Known for his work ethic, intense exercise regimen and strict diet, Brady was better with age.
After turning 37, Brady won four Super Bowls and was 17-4 in the playoffs. He was 95-30, completed 65.2 percent of his passes for 35,371 yards, 265 TDs, 69 interceptions and 100.2 passer rating in the regular season in those eight seasons.

Praise from across the sports world came pouring in after Brady finally made his retirement official.
‘Hell of a ride my friend!!’ said LeBron James. ‘Thank you for the memories and inspiration throughout.’
Alex Rodriguez kept his statement short and sweet: ’22 seasons, 7 championships, 3 MVPs, countless records. True greatness.’

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson called Brady ‘the Greatest’
Although he neglected to thank the Patriots in his farewell address, team owner Robert Kraft praised his longtime quarterback in a statement of his own.
‘Words cannot describe the feelings I have for Tom Brady, nor adequately express the gratitude my family, the New England Patriots and our fans have for Tom for all he did during his career,’ Kraft said. ‘A generation of football fans have grown up knowing only an NFL in which Tom Brady dominated. He retires with nearly every NFL career passing record, yet the only one that ever mattered to him was the team’s win-loss record. In his 20 years as a starter his teams qualified for the playoffs 19 times.
‘He led his teams to 10 Super Bowls, winning an NFL-record seven championships. In a team sport like football, it is rare to see an individual have such a dominant impact on a team’s success. You didn’t have to be a Patriots fan to respect and appreciate his competitiveness, determination and will to win that fueled his success. As a fan of football, it was a privilege to watch. As a Patriots fan, it was a dream come true.

Three-time Super Bowl champion Troy Aikman said ‘we will never see the likes’ of someone like Tom Brady again
‘I have the greatest respect for Tom personally and always will. His humility, coupled with his drive and ambition, truly made him special. I will always feel a close bond to him and will always consider him an extension of my immediate family.’
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson wrote ‘congrats to the Greatest,’ while Broncos executive and former Denver quarterback John Elway described Brady as a ‘true winner’ who ‘handled himself with class throughout his entire career.’
Eli Manning, Brady’s rival who twice defeated him in the Super Bowl as quarterback for the New York Giants, posted a snarky video: ‘Congratulations on an unbelievable career, and appreciate your generosity in at least sharing a few of those Super Bowls with me.’

How football legend Tom Brady went from a ‘slow as molasses’ high school player to the greatest quarterback of all time and doting family man with $250million net worth
The greatest quarterback of all time was merienda a ‘slow as molasses’ high school football player whose commitment to self-improvement helped catapult him to seven Super Bowl victories throughout a remarkable 22-year career.
Tom Brady, 44, announced his retirement Tuesday following a week of speculation.
Brady was the baby of the family in a Catholic household led by an insurance salesman father and former homecoming queen mother. He and his three older sisters were raised in a modest, 2,570 square foot home in San Mateo, California which is today still occupied by his parents.
Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen now hold a multi-million dollar actual estate portfolio with luxurious homes in Florida, California and Montana. The couple belong to the ultra-exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.
Their combined net worth of $650million fuels a life of luxury for a couple who just decades ago walked the streets as unrecognizable commoners.
Part of Brady’s wealth has come from lucrative endorsement deals that have sometimes conflicted with his lifestyle. He famously starred in a Subway in commercial despite ‘not eating much bread’ due to a stringent anti-inflammatory diet that excludes white flour, sugar and gluten.
His all-American image has at times been mired by controversy, including the ‘deflategate’ scandal when Brady was accused of requesting deflated footballs in the New England Patriot’s 2015 AFC game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The early years
Brady’s formative football years began when he was an all-star athlete at Junipero Serra High School, where he was also regarded as an all around good guy who ‘kept his nose clean’ and respected his parents.

Baby-faced Tom posed for his junior year high school yearbook in around 1995
‘His parents did a great job raising him,’ his former football coach Tom MacKenzie told DailyMail.com in an exclusive 2015 interview. ‘He was the baby of the family but he was never spoiled and he learned to treat people the way he wanted to be treated.
‘I think he did a nice job of remembering where he came from. The only difference between the Tom Brady you see now and when I had him is that he was a teenager then. He’s a good player but he’s a far better person’.
Despite heaping praise on the NFL champ, MacKenzie said Brady’s potential wasn’t always evident.
‘When I first laid eyes on Tom as a freshman, he was just the back up. I don’t think the team won one game that year,’ he said. ‘He was thrust into performing in his sophomore year. All of a sudden, Tom grew a couple inches. He was no more that lanky kid with a bit of baby fat. He started to show nice accuracy.’
Soon, Brady began making tosses as well as the varsity quarterback and began winning more than he was losing.
‘I knew during his sophomore year, as I watched him that he was going to be my quarterback right away. No one was able to compete for that starting job,’ MacKenzie said.

Brady is pictured in this undated childhood photo. He was raised Catholic and stayed out of trouble during high school, his coach said

He and his mom, Galynn, pose for a photo in 1987. His parents still live in the childhood home he grew up in near San Francisco, California
‘He had an arm and I felt that if he did the right things to improve, there was a strong possibility for him to play major college football.’
MacKenzie tried to broach that subject with Tom and his father right at end of his junior year, within a week or two after his season ended.
‘I basically said, «Tom, you have a Division One arm but your lower body is not close to Division One.»
‘He was slow as molasses but he had no quickness. You look at him now. He’s skipping rope and doing all the things we were training him to do back then to be a better athlete. Better athletes make better football players.
‘One turning point in his speed was when I invited a kid from the cross-country track team to run with the football team around the track. It was ugly. My guys looked ugly as hell. They were all over the place but they got to see the difference it made with good running technique.’
As Brady began working to improve his speed, he was the target of bullying from some teammates.
Said his coach: ‘Tom’s basically such a nice guy and a couple of teammates were a lot nastier and more physical than he is. He looks like an altar boy, choir boy and to look at him, I could see how some of the guys would try to intimidate him. I put an end to all that.’
Each Friday, the team would gather for a mass before their weekly game. There was prayer and religious commentary by the school chaplin. When the coach conducted rollcall, he noticed Brady was absent and asked teammates where he was.
‘I got a lot of smirks and dumb looks, but nobody knows a damn thing,’ MacKenzie recalled. I say, «Where the hell is he?» Nothing. So I went to the locker room and the lockers are about six feet tall. I walk in, and he’s smashed in, hunched down in his locker! «What the hell are you doing in this locker?» I used more graphic words than that.
He said, ‘A couple of teammates put me in here.’

Besides several sports, Tom was in the Block Club for students who excelled in athletics and the Trivia Club that featured quiz show competitions, according to the school yearbook

Within years of practice, Brady was performing as well as the school’s varsity quarterback. Although he had a strong arm, his high school coach encouraged him to work on his speed to prepare for college-level competition

Brady excelled at a number of sports, including básquet and baseball. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos after graduating from high school

Brady (pictured in a photo from his high school’s 1993 yearbook) decided to pass on professional baseball to pursue football
‘Teenagers being teenagers but I had no time for this stuff. I told him, ‘»You are supposed to be the leader. Why the hell would you allow anybody to put you into a locker?» Then I got up into his face, big time. I said, «Hey, if any of my teammates did that to me, there would be bloodshed!»‘
Off the football field, Brady engaged in a number of other activities and sports, including básquet and baseball.
Brady heads to the University of Michigan
He was such an impressive baseball player that he was drafted to the Montreal Expos after graduating from high school at age 17. He instead enrolled at the University of Michigan, where he was a backup quarterback in 1996 and 1997.
By 1998, he landed the starting position and landed 14 touchdowns in 12 games. He set a record for the most 200-yeard passing games in both 1998 and 1999, according to NCAA data.
During summer breaks, Brady worked as a Merrill Lynch intern and as a sales rep at the University of Michigan golf club. For a time, he also worked in construction.
Brady, who graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of universal studies, compiled his resume at age 22 after believing he wouldn’t be drafted into the NFL.
‘Found my old resume!’ he wrote in a 2014 Facebook post. ‘Really thought I was going to need this after the 5th round.’
Brady was drafted by the New England Patriots in their sixth-round pick in 2000, kickstarting his NFL career.

Brady’s NFL career
Since being drafted by the Patriots, Brady guided the team to six Super Bowl titles over 20 seasons before leaving for Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March of 2020.
It’s not clear why he left he left the Patriots, but a recently-released book about the unravelling of New England’s dynasty shed light on his shocking departure.
Author Seth Wickersham claimed in ‘It’s Better to Be Feared’, that Patriots coach Bill Belichick thought quarterback Brady was past his prime in New England before the future Vestíbulo of Famer signed with Tampa Bay and won his seventh Super Bowl last season.
Belichick took Brady under his wing after he joined the NFL, and is credited by Brady with nourishing his athletic growth at the start of his professional career.
Speaking during the ESPN+ series ‘The Man in the Arena,’ Brady said the 69-year-old coach helped him become the unstoppable player he is today.
‘Even today I look at some of these young players and they’re like, “What do you think of this guy in his third year or fourth year?” And in my mind I’m thinking, ‘Okay, he’s talented but who’s gonna teach him how to evolve and grow? Who’s gonna assist him in his learning of what football is all about? What his knowledge is,”’ Brady said.
‘I had coach Belichick there to teach me. Every Tuesday we would meet and go through the entire defensive starting lineup, and their strengths and weaknesses. What we could attack, what he was watching and how I could see the things that he saw so I could gain confidence and anticipate.’
Since joining the NFL, Brady has earned more than $292 million in salary over 22 seasons, according to Spotrac.
He signed a one-year, $25 million contract extension after guiding the Bucs to a Super Bowl win last year. That deal included a $20 million signing bonus, $15 million of which would have been paid to him on Friday. Love, marriage and children
Brady began dating actress Bridget Moynahan in 2004 and the couple split in 2006 while she was pregnant with their son John ‘Jack’ Moynahan. By the time she gave birth on August 22, 2007, Brady had moved on with supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
His ex, now 50, detailed her birthing experience, telling More magazine in 2011: ‘[Tom] was there on that day and came in afterwards. He certainly wasn’t holding my hand while I pushed.’
Despite initial terse comments, the exes are now friendly; Moynahan publicly praised Brady following last February’s Super Bowl win, writing on Instagram that she was ‘so proud of him.’

Brady and Bundchen met on a blind date in December 2006, not long after she ended a long-term relationship with Hollywood hearthrob Leonardo DiCaprio

Brady’s children embrace him for a Father’s Day hug in this undated photo shared on Instagram by Bundchen, with whom he shares a son and a daughter
Brady met Bundchen after being set up by a friend in December 6 and meeting her for a blind date.
At the time, Brady was still reeling from his breakup with Moynahan and Bundchen had called it quits in 2005 with Hollywood A-lister Leonardo DiCaprio, who she dated for five years.
Bundchen told Vanity Fair that her relationship with Brady was akin to love at first sight.
‘The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, ‘That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen. We sat and talked for three hours,” Bündchen told Vanity Fair in 2009. ‘I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave. You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.’
Despite Brady’s tremendous wealth – he’s worth an estimated $250 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth – Bundchen is the family’s breadwinner with an estimated worth of $400million.
The couple shares two children: Vivian Lake, nine, and 12-year-old Benjamin.
Before announcing his retirement Tuesday, Brady hinted that he wanted to spend more time with his supermodel wife and children.
‘It’s not always what I want,’ Brady told SiriusXM‘s Jim Gray last week. ‘It’s what we want as a family.’

‘It’s not always what I want,’ Brady told SiriusXM ‘s Jim Gray last week. ‘It’s what we want as a family’
Brady’s final NFL season ended January 21 when he and the defending-champion Buccaneers were eliminated from the playoffs by the Los Angeles Rams with a last-second field goal at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium.
But the 30-27 Divisional Round defeat aside, Brady was still his prolific self in 2021, leading the NFL in completions (485), touchdown passes (43) and passing yards (5,316).
Discussing his wife and children, as well as his eldest son from a previous relationship, 14-year-old Jack, Brady stressed that he owes his family for the support they’ve given him.
‘She deserves what she needs from me as a husband and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad,’ Brady said.
Bundchen has expressed concerns for his safety over the years, and merienda enlisted Brady’s old college teammate, Jay Feely, to convince her husband to retire, the former NFL kicker told Sports Illustrated in 2018.
‘My wife is my biggest supporter,’ Brady continued. ‘It pains her to see me get hit out there.’
No white sugar, dairy or coffee – how Brady stays in shape

Brady only eats organic, has a gluten-free diet – and tries to drink at least five litres of water a day
Brady keeps at the top of his game with a spartan regime that means no coffee, white sugar, processed flour or any dairy products. It is not known whether he will continue the diet now that he has retired.
Brady even cuts out certain ‘healthy’ vegetables – such as tomatoes, eggplant, capsicum and mushrooms – because they can cause inflammation.
The father-of-three also only eats organic, has a gluten-free diet.
Brady’s former personal chef Allen Campbell said that in the lead up to the Superbowl, the football star’s meals consisted of ‘dark leafy greens, some grass-fed animal protein as well as legumes and whole grains’.
Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen hired Campbell to do all of their home cooking.
Campbell, who worked for Brady and Gisele from 2013 to 2016, insisted the couple are ‘very laid back’ to cook for despite their diet being made up of 80 per cent vegetables.
‘I make conscious decisions to buy regional and organic, and to stay away from GMOs, and to think about the future of the planet and the future of humans,’ he said.
‘My philosophy is that a plant-based diet has the power to reverse and prevent disease.’
He is known to drink upward of 37 glasses of water a day, but last year chose to drink something a little stronger and drunkenly tossed the Lombardi Trophy from his $2 million boat after leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Super Bowl Victory.

Despite following rigid eating schedule, Brady said he still likes to treat himself occasionally
